About The Position

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Delivery Driver to support the daily distribution of meals and snacks to local schools in the Bakersfield area. This is not a traditional driving role—this is a mission-driven position where every delivery directly impacts students and ensures they receive high-quality nutrition on time, every day. You will operate as a key partner in daily operations, executing routes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and safely operating a company delivery van on public roadways while representing the organization at each school site. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, route-based environment, takes pride in precision, and enjoys being on the move while making a real impact every day.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience (vans preferred)
• Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and driving assessment
• Basic understanding of food safety and handling procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work early morning shifts and occasional overtime
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and follow structured routes

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and snacks to assigned school sites on a daily route
• Load, verify, and accurately count all orders before departure
• Safely operate a company delivery van on public roads
• Follow assigned routes and coordinate with dispatch as needed
• Ensure food quality and temperature standards are maintained
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, and complete basic documentation
• Communicate professionally with school staff during deliveries
• Report delays, issues, or discrepancies to dispatch or management
• Follow all food safety and vehicle safety procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle
• Support loading, unloading, and occasional additional operational tasks
