Delivery Driver
About The Position
Delivery Drivers at Aaron's are essential to keeping operations moving. This role is dynamic, involving both indoor and outdoor tasks, driving, installing, and demonstrating merchandise to customers. As a store-based position, you will also support the store by assisting with moving, installing, and picking up merchandise. Every day offers variety and opportunities to connect with people in the community. Being a Delivery Driver at Aaron's can be the initial step in a promising career path, potentially leading to roles such as Customer Accounts Advisor, Sales Manager, Customer Accounts Manager, and General Manager. This is a non-exempt role, paid an hourly wage, with average pay including base wages for average scheduled hours and average incentive compensation over a twelve-month period.
Requirements
- Solid communication skills
- Working knowledge of electronics
- Desire to help customers
- Age: 21 (18 in Canada)
- Must meet DOT requirements for certification (U.S.)
- Able to perform physical job including lifting up to 50 lbs. without help and 300 lbs. with a dolly
- Able to work in all outdoor weather, including rain or summer sun
- A valid driver’s license is required, but not a CDL
- No overnight travel
Responsibilities
- Load, secure and protect merchandise
- Offload, install and demonstrate merchandise
- Safely operate delivery vehicle
- Assist in store when needed
