This position is for a Delivery Expert, paying $17.13 to $20.82 per hour, plus mileage and daily cash tips. The role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and daily cleaning of equipment and facilities. Training and orientation are provided on the job. The position requires the ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions, communicate verbally with customers and co-workers, perform basic arithmetic, make correct monetary change, and use verbal, writing, and telephone skills to process orders. Motor coordination for precise movements and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen are essential. The work environment involves exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in coolers to 90 degrees or above in work areas, sudden temperature changes, food fumes, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools (up to 500 degrees or higher), sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperamental requirements include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include continuous standing, walking short distances, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds (from floor to shelves up to 72" high), carrying items like large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs), pushing/pulling dollies with trays (up to 7.5 lbs force), infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders, frequent stooping/bending at the waist (especially at the pizza assembly station and front counter), occasional crouching/squatting, and continuous reaching (up, down, and forward, occasionally above 72"). Hand tasks are continuous and essential, requiring eye-hand coordination, forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping dough, manipulating a pizza peel and rolling cutter, frequent pinching for box assembly, and grasping various items. Tools and equipment include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel. For delivery drivers, additional duties include delivering products by car to customer doors, delivering flyers and door hangers. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle. Essential skills for drivers include navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses, and the ability to navigate adverse terrain while carrying product. Delivery-specific physical demands include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing, driving within a designated area (making several deliveries per shift), and walking between the store, vehicle, and customer locations. Climbing five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery. Delivery work conditions involve exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather, and sensory requirements include far vision and night vision for driving.
