About The Position

Domino's is actively seeking qualified delivery drivers to staff its stores. The role encompasses a range of duties including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing food products, processing telephone orders, managing inventory and associated paperwork, and daily cleaning of equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Essential skills for this role include the ability to comprehend and provide written instructions, verbal communication with customers and co-workers for order processing, basic arithmetic for monetary transactions, strong eye-hand coordination for rapid and accurate movements, computer or touch screen proficiency for order entry, and navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including navigating challenging terrains like multi-story buildings while carrying products. The work environment involves exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, significant temperature fluctuations (from 36 degrees in coolers to over 90 degrees in some work areas), food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces (ovens up to 500 degrees or higher), sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
  • Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
  • Customer service skills
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
  • Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings
  • Licensed for at least the last 365 days minimum
  • Must be an insured driver on the insurance policy for the vehicle
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler
  • Prepare product
  • Receive and process telephone orders
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • Clean equipment and facility daily
  • Comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
  • Make correct monetary change
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • Read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
  • Navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
  • Manipulate a pizza peel when removing pizza from the oven
  • Use the rolling cutter
  • Assemble cardboard pizza boxes
  • Grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes
