Charles D. Sheehy supplies pipe, vales, and fittings to Mechanical Pros across New England. Currently, we are seeking a Delivery Driver to join our Fleet team in Bloomfield, CT. The ideal candidate will transport goods to customer locations while providing excellent customer service. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Current 1C Hoisting License (not required – we can help you obtain this)
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional customer service experience
  • Proven ability to maintain organized and accurate records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, background check, and pre-employment drug screening
  • Clean driving record with a commitment to safe, courteous driving and adherence to all traffic laws
  • Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Strong team player with a solid work ethic and reliability
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lb.
  • Able to push/ pull up to 300lb.

Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver materials to customers at designated job sites.
  • Efficiently prepare, load, and unload deliveries at each location.
  • Retrieve customer returns and verify product accuracy for credit processing.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and refuel as needed to ensure operational readiness.
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and standards.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Support warehouse operations and assist with tasks as needed.
