Charles D. Sheehy supplies pipe, vales, and fittings to Mechanical Pros across New England. Currently, we are seeking a Delivery Driver to join our Fleet team in Bloomfield, CT. The ideal candidate will transport goods to customer locations while providing excellent customer service. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Current 1C Hoisting License (not required – we can help you obtain this)
Minimum of 2 years of professional customer service experience
Proven ability to maintain organized and accurate records
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks
Ability to pass a DOT physical, background check, and pre-employment drug screening
Clean driving record with a commitment to safe, courteous driving and adherence to all traffic laws
Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments
Strong team player with a solid work ethic and reliability
Able to lift and carry up to 50lb.
Able to push/ pull up to 300lb.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver materials to customers at designated job sites.
Efficiently prepare, load, and unload deliveries at each location.
Retrieve customer returns and verify product accuracy for credit processing.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and refuel as needed to ensure operational readiness.
Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and standards.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Support warehouse operations and assist with tasks as needed.
