Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 2 years of driving history if you are 18 years old; 1 year of driving history if you are 19 or older
  • Access to a reliable, insured vehicle that meets company standards for delivery operations
  • Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check meeting company-specific standards
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality

Nice To Haves

  • Previous delivery or customer service experience
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route optimization tools
  • Knowledge of the Dahlonega area and surrounding regions
  • Experience with package handling and logistics

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a vehicle to deliver packages and products to customers throughout the Dahlonega area in a timely and professional manner
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize travel time while meeting delivery deadlines
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including customer signatures, delivery confirmations, and any special instructions or issues
  • Provide friendly and courteous customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Inspect vehicle condition before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
  • Handle packages with care, ensuring products arrive in excellent condition and are delivered to the correct locations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status, delays, or customer feedback
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and compliant operations
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects positively on our organization
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet business demands and seasonal fluctuations
