About The Position

This position is the face of our delivery service and is responsible for providing excellent and consistent customer service to our customers while ensuring safe and compliant deliveries. They are responsible for maintaining a respectful and professional work ethic and etiquette with fellow team members, depot personnel, and management. You will be using your personal vehicle for this position.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Must have a valid driver's license (In Sacramento, you will need to have a California State-issued driver's license).
  • Current vehicle registration
  • Must be listed as an authorized driver on the vehicle’s insurance
  • Applicants may be required to take a background check after a conditional offer is made. (Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider employment-qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records).
  • Following a conditional offer, a motor vehicle record check will be conducted on all final job candidates for whom driving a motor vehicle is an essential job function.
  • Must be a safe driver with a clean driving record, cannot have 2+ points on your driving record
  • Must have a smartphone that is not more than 5 years old
  • You must own a vehicle meeting these requirements:
  • Enclosed car: NO trucks (2014 model year or newer)
  • An active working alarm in the vehicle
  • An active climate control system in the vehicle
  • Open availability: we operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year, evening and weekend hours as needed by the business.
  • An essential function of this position is the ability to drive in dusk/evening
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds infrequently
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, walking up and down stairs (fulfillment locations may have stairs)
  • Exposure to outdoor climate and weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit excellent communication and professional customer service skills toward customers in all interactions
  • Communicate effectively with the support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed, inform them of any cancellations, concerns, customer complaints, or incidents.
  • Communicate scheduling needs with the Manager in compliance with the company’s Time and Attendance Policy.
  • Supports depot in stickering received products as directed by the Management team
  • Review and execute the customer's delivery instructions and/or notes
  • Accurately complete an incident report in the event of a customer complaint or need to file a complaint against a customer
  • Comply with submitting pertinent paperwork to Human Resources when requested or required by law
  • Complete immediate and accurate reporting of all injuries or motor vehicle accidents per company policy and procedure.
  • Accurate cash handling procedures in accordance with the company’s procedures
  • Maintaining valid required documentation for vehicle operation: Driver's license, vehicle registration, and vehicle insurance
  • Perform compliant and complete deliveries
  • Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies
  • Service all orders received in your queue between your scheduled shift start and scheduled shift end time before returning to the depot in compliance with DCC guidelines
