About The Position

Garden of Eden is a state-licensed cannabis dispensary operating in full compliance with all applicable local and state regulations. Job Summary: The Delivery Driver is a critical, compliance-focused role responsible for the safe, lawful, and timely delivery of retail products to approved destinations. This position operates within a highly regulated environment and requires strict adherence to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Delivery Drivers are responsible for operating and maintaining a reliable personal vehicle that meets company and regulatory requirements. Drivers must ensure that all goods are properly packaged, secured, and transported in accordance with established procedures to maintain product integrity, security, and chain-of-custody standards throughout the delivery process. This role may operate independently or as part of a delivery team and requires accurate completion of all required delivery documentation, verification procedures, and compliance checks prior to and upon completion of each delivery. Delivery Drivers are expected to follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, and protocols, while immediately reporting any incidents, delays, or discrepancies in accordance with company policy. A successful Delivery Driver maintains a clean driving record, demonstrates a strong commitment to defensive driving practices, and consistently prioritizes safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. Drivers serve as professional representatives of the company and are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, discretion, and accountability at all times.

Requirements

  • Possess and maintain valid CA driver’s license
  • Submit to background checks including driving checks
  • Possess a good driving record
  • Proficient operating a smartphone and tablet devices
  • Ability to navigate using GPS and map applications
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Possess a neat and professional appearance
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to learn on the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a delivery or transportation role
  • Previous experience with Point-Of-Sale systems
  • Previous experience with cash handling skills

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain a reliable company vehicle in compliance with company standards and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Complete timely and accurate delivery of retail products to approved destinations in accordance with assigned routes and delivery schedules
  • Ensure all products are properly packaged, secured, and transported to maintain product integrity, security, and chain-of-custody requirements
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivery protocols at all times
  • Verify delivery information, identification, and required authorizations prior to completing each delivery
  • Accurately complete all required delivery documentation, logs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling customer information and company assets
  • Follow all safety practices, including defensive driving standards and vehicle safety requirements
  • Immediately report any incidents, accidents, delays, discrepancies, or compliance concerns in accordance with company policy
  • Represent the company in a professional, courteous, and compliant manner during all customer and team interactions
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and delivery team members to ensure smooth and compliant operations
  • Participate in required training, compliance reviews, and policy updates as assigned
  • Completing driving manifest with every delivery route
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily for safety and maintenance and identifying service needs.
