Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Possess navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Ability to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions (Temperaments).
  • Essential eye-hand coordination.
  • Continuous use of hands during the day, frequently requiring use of one or both hands.
  • Ability for frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists (for shaping pizza dough).
  • Ability to manipulate a pizza peel and rolling cutter.
  • Ability for frequent and/or forceful pinching (for assembling cardboard pizza boxes).
  • Ability to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
  • Depth perception.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Far vision and night vision for driving.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Make correct monetary change.
  • Take and process orders using verbal, writing, and telephone skills.
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
  • Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location.
  • Carry pizzas and beverages while performing walking and climbing duties during delivery.
  • Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
  • Lift cases of ingredients and supplies (up to 50 pounds) from floor and stack onto shelves.
  • Carry large cans and pizza sauce from storage to the front of the store.
  • Carry trays of pizza dough over short distances.
  • Push and pull trays on dollies.
  • Navigate stairs or climb a ladder for tasks like changing prices, washing walls, or maintenance.
  • Perform forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and when stocking ingredients.
  • Crouch and squat to stock shelves and clean low areas.
  • Reach continuously (up, down, and forward) for various tasks including oven controls, changing prices, lifting objects, scooping cornmeal, washing dishes, obtaining topping ingredients, cleaning surfaces, and answering phones.
  • Shape pizza dough.
  • Manipulate a pizza peel when removing pizza from the oven.
  • Use a rolling cutter.
  • Assemble cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
