About The Position

As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading items, navigating delivery routes using GPS or maps, and maintaining a professional demeanor while interacting with customers. You will be expected to adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and report any issues or incidents promptly. The role requires excellent time management skills, physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Requires overnight travel of up to 15% may be required. Essential Functions include safely transporting, delivering, and relocating products and materials as directed by supervisor; ensuring proper loading and unloading of products and materials, adhering to security requirements; conducting thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle as mandated; promptly informing supervisor of any maintenance or safety concerns; operating company vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and local traffic laws, prioritizing safety; maintaining accurate driver logs as per DOT regulations; keeping the vehicle in good operational condition and cleanliness; immediately reporting any accidents, citations, or incidents to the supervisor; submitting necessary reports and dispatch paperwork punctually; and adhering to all safety protocols, participating in mandatory safety meetings, and using personal protective equipment as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Clean Driving Record: A record free of major violations such as DUI/DWI, reckless driving, or multiple moving violations.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, sometimes up to 50 pounds or more, and perform tasks such as loading and unloading freight.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations regarding hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and safety inspections.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Class A driver is often preferred.
