About The Position

Basalite Building Products, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. DOE POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Delivery Driver Supervisor this position supports the Delivery Department in all areas of delivery. Is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements

Ability to operate forklifts and drives a variety of trucks including truck & trailers, doubles, triples and semi-trailer trucks.
Must have working knowledge of local, state and federal laws and safety regulations.
On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties
Requires basic reading and writing skills.
Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written.
Basic mathematics and counting is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional manner in dealing with employees and the public.
Ability to act professionally and remain calm in high stress situations.
Operation of mobile electronic equipment may be required.
Must have a valid Class A driver’s license and a good driving record and be Basalite certified to operate a forklift. Class A with Triples and Tanker endorsements required.
Regular attendance is required.

Forklift operational experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Fills out log books, work sheets and reports and has knowledge of Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
Secures loads with ropes, straps, chains and binders, brick boards and tarps.
Determines types of equipment to be used for jobs.
Transports products throughout Northern California and Northern Nevada to customers, stores, yards and jobsites.
Loads and unloads trucks as needed.
Verifies materials loaded meet order requirements.
Maintains and fuels trucks and performs inspections on equipment.
Performs and documents daily preoperational inspections on equipment and work areas
Forklift operation is required
Regularly meets with supervisor
Maintains work area clean and clutter free per company standards
All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives
Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
