About The Position

LKQ Corporation is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as a Delivery Driver. This role is responsible for safely operating a Company vehicle to deliver products to customers. Key duties include manually loading and unloading delivery trucks, verifying parts, collecting payments, obtaining customer signatures for delivery confirmation, and handling returned items. The position requires driving in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner, avoiding traffic violations and accidents. Drivers must physically load the Company truck at the location, verify its condition, the manifest, and associated paperwork. They will drive to delivery destinations, physically unload the truck, verify parts, obtain signatures, and sign off on the integrity of the loaded items. Additional responsibilities include making proper notations on the manifest, providing receipts for returned parts, collecting accounts receivable as necessary, complying with company policies and procedures, completing annual training, and operating in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The driver is also expected to provide excellent customer service during delivery and pickup of products.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Must qualify for Corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance.
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must comply with state and local mandated requirements as well as Department of Transportation (“DOT”) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (“FMCSA”) regulations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
  • Ability to train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months related delivery driving experience
  • Prior warehouse operations experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents.

  • Make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts on parts being returned from customers to the location.
  • Collect accounts receivable, as necessary.
  • Comply with established Company policies and procedures.
  • Successful completion of annual training as assigned.
  • Operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
  • Provide excellent customer service during delivery/pick up of products.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
