About the position

The Delivery Driver at G-A-P Supply Corp is responsible for providing assistance and support to both internal and external customers by delivering orders in a professional and timely manner. This role involves managing daily rush orders, maintaining warehouse organization, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to customers in a professional and timely manner.
• Receive daily rush orders and weekly orders.
• Check stage on orders and maintain bin locations.
• Put away stock in the warehouse and pull will-call orders for customer pick up.
• Process ship-outs from the Bend branch and handle warranty and returns.
• Order and return compressed gas tanks as needed.
• Clean and straighten the warehouse daily.
• Assist with counter/phone sales and inform customers of backorders.
• Recycle cardboard and empty branch garbage twice a week.
• Fill freight claims when necessary and assist with stocking the showroom.
• Attend ongoing training classes and work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of related experience in shipping/receiving and material handling.
• Valid driver's license.
• HVAC/R experience preferred.
• Customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Typing skills of 30-50 wpm and ability to operate a computer.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with warehouse technology equipment (RF guns, etc.).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to drive large delivery trucks, such as box trucks.
