About The Position
As a Delivery Driver at Graybar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner. This position involves face-to-face interactions with customers as you deliver products from our warehouse to various destinations. You will be responsible for safely operating a Graybar truck or van, adhering to all safety protocols while providing excellent customer service. Your role will not only involve delivering products but also maintaining positive customer relations, gathering customer feedback, and promoting our services and products to enhance customer satisfaction. The work schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, from 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing you to be home each night. This predictable work schedule is designed to help you plan your life around your job, with no weekends required for most roles. As a full-time employee, you will enjoy comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, which consists of over three weeks of vacation, sick time, and volunteer time. The expected pay rate for this position starts at $22.33 per hour, depending on your experience. In this role, you will be tasked with determining the best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations, loading and unloading trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and inspecting your vehicle and supplies to ensure everything is in order. You will also be required to maintain proper truck logs and safely operate your vehicle at all times. Importantly, this position involves working a local route, meaning you will not have to deal with overnight trips or weekends away from home.
