About The Position

The delivery driver will pack, load and deliver meals from a nutrition site or local designated storage area to home bound clients. Work methods are fairly easily learned, and employees generally follow detailed instructions when work is not of a repetitive nature. Employees must be able to assist the public in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED.
• Job requires frequent lifting.
• Must have valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of agency operations and programs.
• Computer knowledge preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pack and load meals to be delivered according to AASC procedures for hot, frozen or canned meals.
• Deliver groceries to nutrition sites across the four-county area.
• Make restock deliveries for home delivered meal supply.
• Accept food truck deliveries.
• Maintain paperwork related to deliveries.
• Deliver meals to home bound clients.
• Straighten freezer and storage area each workday.
• Maintain and clean food carriers.
• Maintain accurate records for assigned tasks.
• Fill in for home delivered meal drivers as needed.
• Work at Nutrition sites as needed.
• Possible data entry duties as assigned (training is provided).
• Perform other agency-related services as warranted.
• Transport catered meals to nutrition site from kitchen.
• Attend training as required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all information pertaining to clients and program operations.
• Demonstrate and maintain good work ethics.
