Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • prior customer service experience
  • strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and handling hazardous materials safely
  • interact with customers and coworkers professionally, exercising good judgment and initiative
  • Attention to detail, the ability to perform repetitive tasks, and regular computer use for order processing are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure showroom is regularly stocked, inventory is rotated, and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization while promoting safety in the workplace
  • Process customer orders received by phone, email, or in person with excellent customer service, including will-call orders from stock, and assist with inside sales tasks such as billing and quoting prices.
  • Mix or tint paint as needed, and provide product expertise, including MSDS and hazard identification information to customers while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Operate a forklift to move stock, receive freight, assist with inventory cycle counting, and perform shipping duties for product deliveries.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues, referring unresolved grievances to a Supervisor or Manager, and ensure proper safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, ensure continuous improvement, promote safety awareness, and collaborate with all branches and departments in a professional manner.
