About The Position
Santa Monica Seafood, a family-owned company, has been in the seafood business for over 80 years. Our Mission is to provide the highest quality selection of seafood products at a fair and reasonable price, while recognizing the importance throughout conservation, and maintenance of a healthy environment. We are searching for experienced delivery drivers to join our Thornton, CO location. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. Salary range $23-$25/hour, impressive benefits package!! Monday - Saturday from 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Requirements
- The successful candidate must be able to lift 75 pounds and be willing to travel.
- Ability to pass company driving test, background check and drug test.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must possess a positive and professional attitude, along with strong customer service skill.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows. Immediately inform management team of any deviation from route.
- Unload product from trailer, by hand or using hand cart and place in designated customer storage areas. May include transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
- Frequently lift, push, or move product that weights 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72” to stack and load pallets and hand carts; constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product, and retrieving items from the trailer.
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Contact Accounting for authorization when discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors/returns.
- Collect payment (cash, check, or cashiers’ check) where required and turn in all funds collected daily.
- Pickup, load, and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork
