The Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering materials to customer locations and job sites while providing excellent customer service. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding the CMC Supply reputation. Drivers are also responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles and ensuring they remain in safe, working condition.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Plus positive points required
  • Ability to operate company vehicles in compliance with all local and company policies
  • DOT Medical Card required and ability to pass required physical
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50–75 pounds regularly
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
  • Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service
  • Successful completion of background check (no history of violence or theft)
  • Negative pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana
  • CMC Supply is a drug-free workplace

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Prepare trucks, equipment, and materials prior to each delivery run
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure safe operation, proper loading, and compliance with company policies
  • Verify load accuracy and correct any discrepancies before departure
  • Safely operate delivery vehicles in accordance with all company fleet policies and local regulations
  • Deliver materials to customer locations in a timely and professional manner
  • Unload materials at customer-designated locations safely and accurately
  • Inspect delivered materials for accuracy and damage prior to obtaining proof of delivery
  • Obtain customer signatures and collect payments (COD) when required
  • Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery documentation
  • Perform post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns
  • Communicate customer concerns, delivery issues, or service needs to supervisor
  • Submit all required paperwork and payments in a timely manner
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
