About The Position

As a Delivery Driver- Non CDL, you will operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Your destinations will include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, and other locations as directed by management. You will load the truck with Hajoca merchandise, secure the load properly, and ensure that the necessary equipment to safely unload the merchandise is available. You will also review shipping documentation, unload merchandise, collect payments, and resolve shipping discrepancies. Additionally, you will provide sales leads, inspect the truck, complete daily vehicle inspection reports, and successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver's license.
  • Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver.
  • Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.

Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
  • Load the truck with Hajoca merchandise and secure the load properly.
  • Understand shipping documents and have accurate directions to each delivery destination.
  • Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy.
  • Unload correct merchandise and obtain legible signatures for all deliveries.
  • Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies with customers at the delivery site.
  • Load the truck at other locations with merchandise.
  • Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses.
  • Inspect the truck and required parts for safe operating condition.
  • Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck.
  • Complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report.
  • Remove keys from the truck and store them in the approved location.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
