About The Position

Immediate opening for a NON CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Grimes, IA. This position involves delivering freight solo within Iowa, with a dedicated route that allows for home daily. The job requires a minimum of 12 months of verifiable box truck driving experience. Ryder provides training on all necessary equipment, including pallet jacks and liftgates. The trucks are 36 months or newer and come with 24/7 roadside maintenance. The position offers a competitive pay structure, with weekly pay and additional compensation for miles and stops.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.
