About The Position

Immediately Hiring a Route Driver in Fredericksburg, VA. No Experience Required. We want the right Employee to Drive with us Part-Time at Ryder. Route Service Drivers on this account earn $477 or more Weekly and it gets better. Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly. Hourly Pay: $19.08 Per Hour. Hours Per Week: 25 hours per week. Performance Bonus: Pays You $625 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter. Schedule: Sunday - Saturday Operation- will have 2 consecutive days off. Must Have open availability (including weekends). Start Time: Dispatch 3:00 AM 8 - 10 hours per shift. Deliver Independently to: 80 mile radius of Fredericksburg. Route: Local Area - Home Daily. Truck Type: GMC Savanah 3500 and 18' Box Truck. Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight: Touch - Bakers Racks, Boxes and Donuts. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in delivering and merchandising to ensure our products are well-presented and available to customers. You will work closely with store managers and other team members to deliver products, maintain displays, stock inventory, and support promotional activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.
