About The Position
As a Delivery Driver for Medical Equipment at Lincare, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the medical equipment and supplies they need in a timely and safe manner. This position involves not only the delivery of equipment but also training patients and their family members on the proper use of the therapies and equipment prescribed by their physicians. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care provided to patients, making a significant difference in their lives. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting daily deliveries, adhering to assigned routes and schedules, and maintaining a safe driving record. You will also be expected to follow patient orientation checklists during the delivery and training of new patients, ensuring they understand how to use the equipment safely and effectively. Your ability to establish and maintain outstanding relationships with customers and internal team members will be essential to your success in this position. Additionally, you will be required to inspect your delivery vehicle regularly, ensuring the safety of the loading and unloading process, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in both the vehicle and the warehouse, in compliance with FDA protocols. This position may also require you to work on-call during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies, highlighting the importance of flexibility and commitment to patient care.
