About The Position

The Driver Helper position at Core-Mark is essential for supporting the food supply chain by assisting delivery drivers in transporting products to customers. Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and/or 1-3 years of related experience.
• Valid Drivers License with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills.
• Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions.
• Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job.
• Ability to obtain certifications for use of powered equipment, such as forklift operation.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience.
• Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet).
• Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD).
• Customer service-related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Load and unload truck and/or company vehicles.
• Place products in areas identified by customers.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
