What’s the opportunity: Drivers/Installation Technicians provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders. Drivers make pick-ups as necessary, performs general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed. This individual must perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner and by performing the duties listed below.
Requirements
- Must be technically savvy (able to use a computer or tablet)
- 1 to 2 years’ experience driving a commercial vehicle
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Qualified candidates must be able to meet all applicable requirements under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
- Basic math: understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions is required
- Basic knowledge of safe lifting practices and good driving practices
Responsibilities
- Fill customer orders from DEX warehouses
- Load and unload truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries
- Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required, schedule routine or repair maintenance as needed. Maintain presentable truck appearance, cleaning as needed
- Other duties will include but not limited to cycle counts, inventory, aiding fellow warehouse team members
- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following all safety guidelines and obeying traffic laws
