About The Position

Southwest Traders is seeking newly licensed Class A delivery drivers to join our team. The average annual salary for this position is $102,000+, with a salary range of $90,000 to $125,000. The driver dispatch time for this position is between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Candidates must pass a drug screen, including hair follicle testing. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for executing dispatch assignments, fulfilling customer expectations, and adhering to specific delivery procedures in accordance with company policy. This role requires delivering a variety of products to accounts within a designated area, which includes multiple stops throughout the day and manual unloading of products.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year tractor trailer, route driving experience (preferably delivering food and/or beverage products)
  • Clean 39 month MVR and knowledge of all federal and state regulations as applicable to the DOT
  • Excellent customer service experience and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays when needed
  • Basic math skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
  • Current Class A driver license, copy of medical card and copy of current DMV printout

  • Experience with food delivery and route driving

Responsibilities

  • Unloading and delivery of frozen, chilled and dry food products to customer locations within assigned route
  • Making back hauls, equipment returns or exchanges, assisting co-workers with routes as assigned by your Manager or Supervisor
  • Stock and/or place products on customers' shelves or another designated location when applicable
  • Collect payments from customers and record transactions
  • Resolve service complaints when able, issue credit memos for refused product, return product to warehouse and maintain effective communication with transportation supervisors, management and the sales department
  • Organize end-of-day paperwork for office administration
  • Perform Pre & Post trip inspections and maintain proper cold environment within delivery trailer
