Local Delivery Driver Job Summary: Drive company trucks and load/unload materials to meet or exceed customer expectations by delivering a positive and professional customer experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; or
Two years commercial driving experience; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Chauffeurs License - with acceptable driving record
Ability to pass operator exam and drive powered industrial equipment

Responsibilities

Be familiar with the delivery territory and complete routes efficiently and accurately.
Ability to operate trucks safely and obey and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
Unload and load materials and shipments, handling with care
Make timely deliveries while maintaining a friendly, helpful relationship with customers.
Secure all materials to prevent accidents, damage, and/or loss.
Accurately complete driver logs, including stops, hours of operation, and vehicle inspections.
Adhere to federal, state, local driving laws and DOT and FMCSA regulations, such as pre-trip inspections and driver logs.
Maintain vehicle fluid levels, air pressures, and vehicle cleanliness inside and out.
Back up warehouse personnel
Effective use of cell phone and hands-free equipment while driving
Working knowledge of federal, state, local driving laws, DOT and FMCSA regulations.
