About The Position

The Delivery Assistant role is designed to support delivery drivers in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of customer orders. This position involves loading and unloading products, interfacing with customers, and adhering to safety procedures. The role does not permit the operation of company or rental vehicles.

Requirements

• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and cargo securement requirements.
• Prior delivery assistant experience in a similar industry.
• 1+ years of experience operating material handling equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.

• Experience in customer service roles.
• Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery drivers with customer orders, including loading and off-loading products.
• Inspect deliveries prior to loading to ensure accuracy and damage-free condition.
• Use powered and non-powered material handling equipment for loading and unloading merchandise.
• Make customer calls before and during delivery to confirm orders.
• Interface with customers regarding orders, providing proof of delivery and resolving basic service issues.
• Relay escalated customer concerns to distribution center leadership.
• Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
