About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team in Farmingdale, United States. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages to our valued customers.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Basic math skills for calculating delivery charges and handling cash transactions
• Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous delivery or driving experience preferred
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be preferred for certain vehicles
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Familiarity with the Farmingdale area and surrounding regions is a plus

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport and deliver packages to residential and commercial locations
• Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring proper handling of items
• Plan and optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation systems
• Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures upon package delivery
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle maintenance issues promptly
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
