About The Position

The successful candidate will prepare orders for delivery to clinics and patients' home containing medications that require temperature sensitive packaging and special handling with the utmost attention to detail. They will collaborate and communicate with liaisons, pharmacy staff, and common carrier to ensure packages are delivered as promised. Additional role context: This role plays a critical part in patient care continuity by ensuring specialty and clinic-administered medications are prepared, packaged, and delivered accurately and on time. It is well-suited for detail-oriented professionals who take pride in precision, accountability, and contributing to a high-performing pharmacy or healthcare operations team.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Willingness to learn
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, strong phone skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word; able to quickly learn other programs and able to extract relevant information; strong organizational skills a must
  • Organized, high-integrity, attention to detail, dependable, quality focus, empathetic, good listener/communicator
  • Energetic, highly motivated, team player with strong personal and communication skills; discretion and confidentiality essential as position deals with highly sensitive and private data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy operations, medical logistics, or shipping and fulfillment environments.
  • Familiarity with courier platforms, shipping systems, or ERP tools used in medical or pharmaceutical distribution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to reliability, professionalism, and patient-centered service.

Responsibilities

  • Verify Rx order matches listed medication on delivery ticket
  • Ring Rxs through POS and charge appropriate payment method
  • Package orders using appropriate supplies
  • Enter shipping information in UPS WorldShip and Dynamex with attention to detail
  • Track packages to confirm delivery
  • Investigate and communicate with staff regarding delivery issues
  • Obtain clarification and give feedback on incomplete delivery slips
  • Organize packages based on delivery type
  • Deliver clinic administer medication to other on-site pharmacies
  • Ensure medications requiring cold-chain or temperature-controlled handling are packaged according to established guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate closely with pharmacy staff, clinic liaisons, and logistics partners to prioritize time-sensitive deliveries.
  • Proactively monitor shipment status and intervene quickly to resolve delays, misroutes, or delivery exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate records related to shipping, tracking, and delivery confirmation.
  • Support daily workflow efficiency by organizing shipments by delivery method, urgency, and destination.
  • Uphold patient safety, data privacy, and confidentiality in all aspects of order handling and communication.
  • Contribute to a culture of quality, accuracy, and accountability within pharmacy operations.
