About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Local Box Truck Delivery Driver to safely transport and deliver goods to our clients.
The main responsibilities include loading and unloading items, following the pre-arranged delivery routes, and ensuring that each delivery is on time.
Our ideal candidate is familiar with commercial driving regulations and safety standards, possesses excellent time management skills and can maintain truck equipment.
Ultimately, the role of the Local Box Truck Delivery Driver is to deliver high-quality service, maintain customer satisfaction, and represent our company in a professional manner.
You must be able to provide a copy of your DOT and 7-year MVR.

Requirements

• Must be able to provide a copy of your DOT and 7-year MVR
• Familiar with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
• Possesses excellent time management skills
• Can maintain truck equipment

Responsibilities

• Drive a box truck to deliver goods to customers’ locations according to the delivery schedule
• Load and unload goods from the truck manually or with the use of equipment
• Ensure products are delivered in a timely manner and in good condition
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, adjusting routes to accommodate traffic and weather conditions
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Collect and verify delivery instructions, handling paperwork such as invoices and delivery confirmations
• Report defects, accidents or violations
