We have an immediate need for a Delivery Assurance/Expeditor on site at our supplier location in Blue Island, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to provide onsite delivery assurance support for our aerospace manufacturing activities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in production planning.
  • Shop floor experience.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working with customers.
  • Experience in production planning, tracking, and release of parts.
  • Ability to assist in Root Cause Analysis for part delays.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • SAP experience and working with related ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work & interact at all levels of an organization.
  • Due to the nature of this, proof of US Citizenship is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Daily interaction with operations, planning, program management of parts for magnesium castings.
  • Monitor the daily activities involving the release and tracking of parts.
  • Provide oversight of parts to be released and management of parts that have delayed release.
  • Communicate potential shipping delays including identifying root cause with suppliers on delays and establish recovery plans to bring shipments back online through e-mail and phone communications.
  • Work with operations to understand their build plans and requirements via SAP and relate this to OTD.
  • Work with program office on reporting status to internal customers.
  • Line of Balance (WIP) reporting.
  • Weekly reports covering accomplishments, roadblocks and forward-looking support.
  • Facilitate implementation of need-based solutions.
