About The Position

The Delivery Assistant is responsible for stocking shelves and rotating products in an assigned route. In addition, this position is responsible for the performance of all duties within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of North Dakota laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements.

Requirements

  • Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards established by Doll Distributing LLC
  • Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
  • Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control procedures
  • Demonstrate strong communication, customer relations, and problem-resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook and either entry-level (or ability to learn) Mobility
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people and customers
  • Must be 19 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
  • Lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-50 pounds, up to 165-pound kegs of beer – Frequently (Daily lifting of 20,000 to 40,000 or more pounds of product)
  • Reach up to 72” to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts – Frequently
  • Bend, stoop, squat, and twist while loading and unloading products, stocking coolers and shelves, and rotating backroom stock at customer locations – Constantly
  • The individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs – Frequently
  • Ability to safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, waist level, waist to shoulder level, shoulder level to overhead – frequently.
  • Must have the ability to push/pull up to 68lbs – Frequently
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 165 lbs. floor to waist with appropriate equipment – Frequently.
  • Handle (Grasp, turn, seize, hold) – constantly
  • Step up/down 21-inch step – Frequently
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions – Constantly.
  • Requires significant demands on these physical requirements throughout the entire work shift with tasks performed in all weather conditions.
  • This position will spend 100% of the shift in a climate-controlled environment; and may work in coolers with temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 38 degrees.
  • Steel-toed boots/shoes with skid-proof soles are required
  • This position will routinely use a two-wheeler and/or cart to transport product.
  • May wear gloves when handling products.
  • The visual ability necessary to read and interpret written information is required as well as the ability to differentiate product types. The hearing ability necessary to communicate with others is required. The individual must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with employees and customers on all levels of the organization and retail trade.

Responsibilities

  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with products daily primarily at convenience stores
  • Assist with unloading products from trailers, by hand or using hand carts
  • Comply with proper product rotation standards for product freshness and quality
  • Work product in back rooms of stores and condense back stock each time in store to keep these areas clean at all times
  • Prepare damaged and outdated products for pickup and return
  • Secure, set, and move displays when required
  • Place proper point-of-sale materials on mail shelves, displays, and coolers
  • Follow company and brewery merchandising standards
  • Exhibit strong commitment to the service needs of the external customer
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Compliance with all company safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Work efficiently and strive for growth within stores
  • May be asked to work on evenings and weekends for special events
