About The Position

Deli Worker POSITION PURPOSE: Serves food and beverages to guests in a quick, efficient and courteous manner. Responsible for the preparation of food menu items, maintains a clear, attractive environment within all company standards, policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must have thorough understanding and knowledge of all menu items and the preparation and garnishment of all food items. Responsible for the handling of company funds through cash transactions on the P.O.S. system in accordance with all company policies and procedures. Inform the immediate supervisor of any product shortages and equipment needs. Greets guests with a smile and pleasant disposition in a timely manner. Work cards are to be on your person at all times. Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional manner. Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. Comply with Board of Health Standards. Must maintain good personal grooming and uniform standards while on duty. Have knowledge of where your MSDS booklet is located for your area. Display knowledge of all emergency procedures. Responsible for informing the immediate supervisor on duty of any team member or guest opportunities. Performs any other duties as directed by management. Organizes all daily transaction paperwork. Tracks daily void tickets. Tenders all guest checks State the total of the check, amount of money given to you by the guest and the amount of change back. Always be accurate with money handling. Organize all checks and paperwork at the end of the shift and turn in work in a neat and organized manner. Always keep your work are clean. Promote a safe and clean environment for fellow team members and guests. Present check for payment after you have entered their order in the P.O.S. system. Notify the supervisor on duty for voids or any guest complaints. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in English both in written and verbal form. Ability to make quick judgement decisions. must be able to handle a flexible schedule. Requires the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, bend or reach to a height of 6 feet with or without reasonable accommodations. Requires normal, corrected vision range and absence of color blindness. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Requires eye/hand coordination. Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch and sound. Requires regular and predictable attendance. Requires good verbal communication skills. OTHER: Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky indoor service. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 foot access. Task performed from a non-sitting position. Team members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area and constant contact with team members and guests. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL and ABILITY: Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Fully understand how to operate the point of sales system. The physical ability to stand, bend or reach up to 6 feet for duration of shift, with or without reasonable accommodations.
