About The Position

The Deli/Store Chef is responsible for embracing the Customer 1st strategy to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. This role involves establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. The chef will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, monitoring and controlling quality assurance standards, and directing, supporting, and supervising all department functions, duties, and activities. They are also responsible for assisting with the execution of best practices, goals, and standards, and role modeling the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Ralphs, based in California, merged with The Kroger Company in 1998 and now serves customers in over 180 stores. Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return.
  • Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor and control all established quality assurance standards.
  • Assist in directing, supporting and supervising all functions, duties and activities for the department.
  • Responsible for assisting with the execution of best practices, goals and standards established for the department.
