About The Position

The Deli Sales position at Yoke's Fresh Markets is designed to provide a pleasant and efficient deli experience by actively engaging guests and ensuring they receive unparalleled hospitality and professional service. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Mathematical skills for handling money and weight measurement.
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form.
  • Meet state minimum requirements to work with deli equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid State Food Handlers Permit.
  • Valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card.

Responsibilities

  • Report for assigned shifts on time and regularly.
  • Communicate clearly and demonstrate suitable physical abilities to perform assigned tasks.
  • Promote sales through active discussions with guests and offering product recommendations.
  • Provide exceptional service by greeting guests and informing them of special features and product information.
  • Prepare food for daily business as assigned and make assorted coffee drinks.
  • Operate deli equipment safely and correctly.
  • Complete guests' special order requests with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Mentor new associates and assure a positive learning environment.
  • Ensure all work performed complies with safety, food handling, and sanitation standards.
  • Participate in the Deli Department's accident reduction plan.
