Part of being a civic business means we focus on ensuring sustainability and providing the best possible customer service. Kowalski’s deli is a fast-paced, high customer service department. An ideal deli stakeholder is inviting and service minded. They also are in alignment with adhering to state health code standards for safety and sanitation, ensuring service of the highest quality and freshest ready-to-serve foods. Deli stakeholders are responsible for building right relationships with their coworkers and customers through transparent and respectful communication, teamwork and problem-solving. Your main duties will be to maintain the hot foods case, pasta bar, burrito bar, wing bar, and the rotisserie chickens. This means following the Kowalski’s procedures for preparation, handling, sanitation, freshness, and quality. A deli chef needs excellent time management skills to prepare for the lunch and dinner rushes throughout the day. Good communication is critical to keeping all areas of the deli freshly stocked with good food, so our customers have all options available to them. You must follow strict health and safety guidelines to prevent any accidents, injuries, or illnesses.
