About The Position

Full-Time Prepared Foods / Deli manager Pay Transparency: The salary range is $55,000 to $65,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Job Requirements The ideal applicant will have at least 3 years of relevant professional and management experience working within the Deli departments in a food retailer and demonstrate excellent product knowledge. This candidate must have supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ready for Business Standards - Opening / closing the department, understanding, and executing the merchandizing plan to include
  • Deli case set up and maintenance
  • Prep Foods case set up and maintenance
  • Self Service Case set up and maintenance
  • Overseeing of all FOH merchandising
  • Support the Department Manager ensuring proper levels of product and supplies are maintained and priced by conducting inventories as well as assist in ordering of product as needed.
  • Assist w/ month inventories
  • Financial information including ordering and scanning waste / distress
  • Food Safety - Maintain cleanliness and appearance of department throughout the course of the day (sweeping, mopping, washing/sanitizing work areas and tools, taking out garbage, etc.)
  • Food Safe Certified
  • Enforcing all Balduccis Food Safety Policy's including the Deli Chub Policy, and all food safety logbooks.
  • Respond to the needs of customers (answering questions; assist in the selection of product; provide preparation advice
  • Accurately prepare and price product for customers (quantity, weight, size, appearance, etc.)
  • Assist with receipt of product - receiving/verification, ensuring proper documentation, storage, preparation for display on sales floor.
  • Including all walk-in coolers and dry storage areas
  • Assist in the training of other associates to ensure optimal customer service
  • Managing said associates to ensure optimal customer service
  • Assist chef w/ scheduling FOH associates to have optimum coverage for the best sales.
  • Gain familiarity with all store products to be able to provide full customer service and increase sales.
