A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DELI COOK / Line Cook As a Deli Cook / Line Cook, you will be responsible for the p reparation of deli food both hot and cold, including soups, salads, wraps and sandwiches, spreads and dips according to a production schedule. Assemble, wrap and price sandwiches along with production of food for the hot bar as needed. Repackage deli items purchased from outside sources for resale as needed. Maintain kitchen in sanitary and orderly condition, following health department standards. Ensure product is stocked, rotated, fronted and faced according to established procedures. Pull low quality or out of date items, recording and properly disposing of them following established procedures. Maintain back stock areas in clean, orderly condition, meeting health department standards, and a ssist with receiving and stocking product for deli dept.
