SUMMARY The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The deli clerk must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining deli products. The clerk is also responsible for providing remarkable customer service at all times.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding prepared food operations, safety, and sanitation Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer questions about prepared foods products (i.e.: ready-made meals, packaged salads and subs) Maintain a clean as you go policy to ensure sanitary conditions at all times Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product (i.e.: following recipes and cooking instructions) Maintain proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions, such as stocking, cleaning, and rotating product Follow all store Shrink guidelines with regard to keeping track of all discards Ensure proper temperatures and working condition of cases (hot and cold) as well as maintaining all equipment Complete all necessary paperwork Follow direction from the Deli Manager, perform tasks as assigned
