About The Position
We are seeking a Deli Service Associate (Deli Clerk) to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for assisting and serving customers, participating in food production, and keeping the deli department clean and organized! We take great pride in serving only the highest quality prepared foods, deli meats, and cheeses to our customers. Successful Deli Service Associates are energetic, positive, and attentive people who value giving the customers exactly what they're looking for and are never afraid of learning something new! Training and mentors are always available to help our deli clerks feel comfortable fulfilling their role. Responsibilities
- Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions
- Maintains Milam's Markets high standards for freshness and sanitation
- Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions
- Fills, maintains, and rotates products and displays
- Prepares special orders
- Operates meat and cheese slicers, oven, fryer, microwave, cutting tools, scale and other Deli equipment
- Assists with other duties as assigned
