About The Position

As a Deli Clerk , you’ll be a key part of the customer experience, serving up not just food, but helpful advice, warm smiles, and product knowledge that turns a quick stop into a lasting impression. Hourly Pay: $16.90 – $20.00 Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & in-store discounts What You'll Do As a Deli Clerk, you'll prepare and display food, assist customers with their selections, and keep the deli case looking its best.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to perform basic math for weighing, pricing, and transactions
Comfortable reading recipes and product labels in English
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment
A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
Frequently lift items up to 25 lbs.; occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Carry trays or bowls of food up to 50 feet
Use carts, dollies, and kitchen tools safely and efficiently
Must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service experience preferred (deli/food service a plus)

Responsibilities

Providing friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service
Preparing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and labeling deli products
Setting up and maintaining the deli case with fresh ingredients and attractive displays
Ensuring proper rotation of products and removing expired items
Restocking deli items and supplies such as cutlery, cups, and containers
Preparing special orders to meet customer specifications
Offering samples to increase product awareness and drive sales
Reading and following recipes in English with accuracy
Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
Assisting vendors and contributing to department improvements
Supporting the team with other duties as needed
