About The Position
As a Deli Clerk at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our members while handling various deli products. Your primary responsibilities will include slicing, packaging, weighing, and selling a variety of meats and cheeses. You will maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the deli area, ensuring that all products are fresh and meet our high-quality standards. In addition to these tasks, you will assist members by answering questions, taking special orders, and providing samples to help them make informed purchasing decisions. You will be expected to uphold our commitment to service excellence by delivering a friendly and positive experience for every member. This includes resolving any concerns they may have and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. You will work collaboratively with your team to achieve daily goals and maintain club standards, which include keeping the deli area clean, organized, and fully stocked with a variety of products. In this role, you will also be responsible for receiving and inspecting deli shipments, operating deli equipment safely, and adhering to food safety and handling policies. Regular attendance is crucial, and you will be required to perform other duties as assigned, which may include working in different departments as needed.
