About The Position

As a Deli Bakery Associate at Military Deli & Bakery Services, you will serve military personnel and their families at one of 103 US Military Commissary locations. The primary goal is to provide excellent customer service, demonstrating a love for food and a passion for people. This is not a government job and all are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Experience in retail cake decorating
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
• Effective and friendly communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
• Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
• Team player

Responsibilities

• Decorate a cake in 15-20 minutes start to finish
• Fill production cases and/or stock the floor or display tables with baked goods
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service, teamwork with positive communication, and assist other team members as needed
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation
• Demonstrate the ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
