About The Position

The George DeLallo Company is seeking a part-time Deli Team Member to provide satisfying experiences for guests in their specialty Italian grocery store. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience in a fast-paced work environment and a positive attitude. This role involves learning about various products, cross-selling, slicing and wrapping products to customer specifications, filling prepared food orders, stocking displays, and maintaining a clean work area. The company, founded in 1950, is a family-owned manufacturer and distributor of specialty Italian and Mediterranean foods, with a history of growth from a roadside marketplace to multiple production facilities and a corporate office. Requirements

Customer service experience in a fast-paced work environment
Positive attitude
Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
Maintain a high level of organization with a strong attention to detail and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Candidates must be 18 years or older
Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines

Responsibilities

Greeting customers
Learn each product to be able to differentiate the taste and texture
Cross selling products and introducing new products
Slicing and wrapping products to the customers specifications
Fill prepared food orders
Filling and maintaining stock in the case and back up
Ensuring that displays are stocked
Maintaining a clean work area, slicer, scales and other equipment
Assisting with other duties as assigned
