About The Position
We are seeking a friendly and organized Deli Associate to join our team at Jewel-Osco. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our deli department. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for food and a knack for working in a fast-paced retail environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience by being knowledgeable about our products and services, and by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the deli area. In this position, you will greet customers and answer questions about products and services, ensuring that they feel welcomed and valued. You will also be responsible for preparing and packaging deli meats, cheeses, and other products for customers, which requires attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards. Additionally, you will assist with inventory management and ordering supplies, which is essential for keeping the deli stocked and ready to serve our customers. Your role will also involve supporting the deli team with various tasks such as stocking shelves, cleaning equipment, and maintaining a high level of sanitation in the deli area. You will work efficiently and effectively to meet sales and customer service goals, and you will operate a Point of Sale (POS) system while handling cash responsibilities. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
