About The Position

The Degree Audit Specialist at the University of North Carolina Wilmington is responsible for providing technical support and assistance for the student information systems, particularly focusing on the degree audit information system. This role involves diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, coordinating system upgrades, and performing cyclical office procedures related to academic records management. The position supports the Office of the Registrar and collaborates with other campus offices to ensure efficient operation of academic support services.

Requirements

• Graduation from a two-year technical college with a major in an Information Technology field and one year of related experience; or
• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in an Information Technology area and one year of related experience; or
• Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of related experience in the information technology field.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in a technical area and/or experience in higher education technology.
• Experience with operating Banner Student, Degree Works, and ImageNow systems.
• Experience with PL/SQL to develop reports or analyze data.
• Experience with SQL-based reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the degree audit information system and other student information systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the systems.
• Coordinate and test system upgrades and communicate changes to end users.
• Perform cyclical office procedures such as end-of-term final grades processing and academic standing calculations.
• Provide general office technical support as needed.

Benefits

• Full-time position with a salary range of $63,500 - $67,500 per year.
• Permanent position with a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
