About The Position

Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) serves as the primary technical point of contact and is responsible for end-to-end execution and oversight of DTS administrative support. This is a role that performs daily Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) functions while leading task distribution, ensuring Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) performance, resolving complex Tier 2 issues, and coordinating with financial stakeholders. The LDTA also leads transition planning and serves as the primary interface for Government technical direction and reporting.

Requirements

  • As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active Secret clearance.
  • A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.  You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.
  • Expert-level knowledge of DTS administration, workflows, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain performance during surges
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for Tier 2 issue resolution
  • Strong coordination skills with finance stakeholders for LOA accuracy and reconciliation
  • Clear, disciplined communication skills for reporting and government interface
  • Ability to document processes clearly and maintain/update SOPsPrimary government interface for technical direction: COR and designated Government stakeholders
  • Financial coordination: USARCENT G8
  • Internal coordination: DTS administrators and help desk/support personnel

Responsibilities

  • Perform full-scope DTA functions to meet daily mission requirements, including:
  • Review DTS authorizations and vouchers
  • Build and maintain Lines of Accounting (LOA)
  • Construct and manage DTS organizational hierarchy
  • Produce DTS reports
  • Update traveler and organizational profiles
  • Provide help desk support and end-user assistance
  • Ensure mission continuity by providing 100% coverage during absences of other DTS administrators and during workload surges, preventing service degradation.
  • Manage internal distribution and prioritization of tasks to meet all Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs) and processing timelines as defined in the QASP.
  • Serve as Tier 2 technical authority for complex DTS issues, including:
  • Advanced organizational hierarchy management
  • Advanced routing list troubleshooting and resolution
  • Coordinate directly with USARCENT G8 to ensure accurate LOA input and reconciliation.
  • Lead Phase-Out Transition Plan execution by documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and mission- or customer-specific workflows (including MCP-specific processes) for turnover to the successor contractor.
  • Serve as the primary interface for Government technical direction and provide weekly/monthly status reports to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
