About The Position

A rapidly growing aerospace and defense supply chain management firm is conducting a confidential search</b> for an Aerospace & Defense Supplier Specialist</b>. This role is key to ensuring supplier performance, delivery reliability, and compliance for mission -critical defense programs. Join a company that partners directly with major primes and Tier -1 suppliers to deliver proactive supply chain oversight.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (additional experience may substitute for education).
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience (aerospace, defense, shipbuilding, or submarine industry preferred).
• VantageClear Certification (or equivalent U.S. defense -industry compliance credential) required.
• Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Production Control, and Shop Floor Management.
• Strong project management abilities and independent decision -making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record; ability to pass pre -employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, collaborative relationships with assigned suppliers to meet customer requirements.
• Manage supplier Open Order Reports</b> to minimize risk and improve delivery performance.
• Track and analyze delivery trends; perform root -cause analysis and drive timely corrective actions.
• Work with sub -tier suppliers to improve communication and establish achievable production commitments.
• Facilitate cross -functional communication to resolve production and delivery delays.
• Provide regular written updates on critical parts status and overall delivery performance.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and defense -industry compliance requirements.
• Travel locally and regionally to supplier locations as needed.
