About the position

This position sits within Finance, Procurement and Civilian People (FPCP) function within DBS; FPCP provides a wide range of HR expertise and service delivery, including pay, recruitment and leaving services across MOD and its arms length bodies. We are looking for a self-driven, highly motivated HR Operations and Investigations Support Executive Officer to join our fast-paced HR Advice and Casework Services (HR ACS) team. The MOD is one of four main suppliers of HR casework across the Civil Service through Civil Service HR. Our Teams of HR Caseworkers provide specialist advice to support Employees, Line Managers and other responsible managers and stakeholders across the organisation on a full range of issues in accordance with HR policies and guidance. This role provides operational support to the HR caseworkers. The HR ACS team is fast paced, busy and a demand led environment. You will need to be resilient and motivated and have excellent Customer Service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation of the Casework service and workflow management including but not limited to allocation of all work across HR ACS.
  • Operational Case management initiatives.
  • Support with Operational data analysis.
  • Responsible for commissioning HR investigations with the outsourced investigation service.
  • Responsible for actioning and reconciling invoices on the MOD accounting system.
  • Supporting with the production of Management information Reports.
  • Producing Freedom of Information returns as necessary.
  • Supporting with Workforce Planning activities.
  • Active engagement in continuous improvement and change activities.
  • Monitor HR ACS Multiuser accounts to ensure timely action of enquiries.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required.
