Basic Function: Participate as a member of the Houston Texans (“Club”) Deep Steel Thunder drumline under the direction of the Deep Steel Thunder Team Leader at Club home games, Club or Club-affiliate events as directed and attend all drumline rehearsals.
Requirements
- Ability to heighten fan experience through musical entertainment and public interaction.
- Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
- Job requires walking around and standing for prolonged periods of time in various Club premises in and around NRG Stadium and NRG Park, as may be assigned.
- High School Diploma required.
- Professional level proficiency in playing a musical drumline instrument.
Nice To Haves
- Drumline experience preferred.
- Formal musical education preferred.
- Collegiate or drum corps experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Attend and provide musical entertainment at all Club home games (pre-game, in game (half-time and other) and post-game, in various areas in and around NRG Stadium), specifically pre-season and regular-season games and any post-season games.
- Attend and provide musical entertainment at other designated Club events such as Training Camp, Draft Party and other Club events and Club requested appearances as directed.
- Attend all required orientation, training and drumline rehearsals.
- Report promptly for all games and other designated Club events and appearances.
- Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Deep Steel Thunder Team Leader or Game Presentation Coordinator.
- Subject to reasonable accommodations, position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.
